The Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana released more information about the incident that happened yesterday afternoon near SCI Pine Grove.
Authorities say following a preliminary hearing for a 20 year old prisoner, the incident occurred inside the patrol vehicle as they were transporting the man to the State Correctional Institution Pine Grove on Fyock Road in White Township. Details of what occurred in the vehicle were not in the report; however, Pennsylvania State Police say both troopers and the prisoner sustained minor to moderate injuries, but they secured the scene and medical attention was rendered to all parties.
The incident is under investigation and more information will be released when its appropriate.
