A traffic stop lead to the arrest of a man from Reynoldsville for DUI and possession of a controlled substance.
Around 4 pm on Friday Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney stopped a vehicle on west Main street near Ohio Street within the Reynoldsville Borough in Jefferson County for a summary traffic violation. During the stop, the driver, 49 year old William Tapper, was believed to have consumed a controlled substance. A probable cause search of Tapper’s vehicle was conducted and Troopers report finding drug paraphernalia and the controlled substance.
Tapper was taken into custody and he will be charged with driving under the influence and drug-related offenses.
