A woman from Jefferson County was in a single-vehicle accident this week.
The crash happened on Tuesday around 2 in the afternoon when 21 year old Taylor Buterbaugh of Punxsutawney was driving north on Route 436 of the main street extension in Young Township and drove off the roadway, hit a road sign, went down an embankment before hitting a tree.
Butterbaugh was not injured. Her car was disabled. The road sign was completely destroyed. She was given a traffic citation.
