The primary election is over in Pennsylvania and we have the unofficial results for Jefferson County.
According to JeffersonCountyPa.com, of the 37 precincts, more than 6,000 ballots were cast and more than 1,600 Democrats were at the polls yesterday, while there were more than 4,500 Republicans who voted. There were several uncontested candidates in various positions who will be in the showdown this November 5.
For the Jefferson County Commissioner, no more than two are selected from each party. The top leading Republicans were Herbert L. Bullers, Jr. and John Jack Matson. While the Democrats top picks were Jeffrey Pisarcik and Kelly R. Harriger. For the register, recorder, and clerk positions, Brianna Bullers had 34 percent of the votes, while other Republicans Donna J. Cooper who came in with nearly 25 percent and Scott North with 22 percent. All three had more than 1,000 votes with these unofficial results.
