Here’s a breakdown of Clearfield County’s primary election last night.
According to the unofficial results on ClearfieldCo.org, out of the 70 precincts more than 44,000 registered voters showed up. Almost 16,000 Democrats and nearly 24,000 Republicans cast ballets.
For the Clearfield County District Attorney, the Democrats selected incumbent William Shaw Jr. Republicans appear to have selected Ryan Sayers to challenge Shaw this fall.
Two were selected for the Clearfield County Commissioner position by each party. The top two Democrats were Lisa A. Kovalick and David S. Glass, while Republican’s selected John A. Sobel and Tony Scotto.
The general election, where registered Independents are also allowed to vote, happens this November 5.
