There are few details about a case of a bad check in Jefferson County.
According to the Brookville Borough Police Department, on May 10 a defendant gave a check to the district magistrate and it was determined the account had non-sufficient funds.
Officers issued a non-traffic citation for bad checks. Names and other information were not in the police report.

There was a two-vehicle accident in Indiana on Wednesday at 8:30 in the evening.
According to the State Police, 38 year old Heather Lockard of Vandergrift was traveling west, approaching Colonial Drive from Philadelphia Street, when a truck driven by 51 year old William King of Indiana entered the road, failed to yield the right of way and crashed into Lockard’s car, causing it to spin counter clockwise 180 degrees.
Both drivers were transported to IRMC for treatment of injuries. After further investigation, it was determined King may have been under the influence of narcotics and a blood draw was conducted.
Charges are pending the results.

Three non-traffic citations were compiled against a 13 year old for harassment.
The State Police in Indiana report the juvenile allegedly pushed and struck his mother, step-sister and step-father on Wednesday just before 4 pm on Grandview Avenue in White Township.
The NTC’s were filed through the Magisterial District Judge Steffe’s jurisdiction.
