Authorities charged a man from Marion Center with driving under the influence of alcohol and several other counts related to an accident that happened on St. Patty’s Day.
The State Police in Indiana filed a criminal complaint on April 24 against 59 year old Raymond Parks with DUI for a BAC over .16, additional misdemeanor counts of an accident involving personal injury, plus eight summary traffic tickets.
According to investigators, on March17 at 9:30 pm Parks was on Route 119 near Wrigden Run Road. He crossed the center line, sideswiping a car driven by Alexa Alker of DuBois, before hitting a tree, where his van burst into flames.
Parks escaped to safety and his preliminary hearing is set for June 30 in Clymer District Court.
