State police say a man from Strattanville was driving too fast and hit a parked car.
On April 18 around 4:30 pm, 25 year old Devon Stuart was traveling on south street near the intersection with Sixth Avenue in Clarion and, according to the authorities, drove into a parking lot at an unsafe speed and hit a parked car with a 25 year old man from Clarion in it.
No one was hurt and Stuart was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

Police say a woman from Shippenville who failed to yield the right of way caused an accident.
State Police in Clarion report the crash happened on April 17 at 3:30 in the afternoon when 64 year old Cynthia Smathers was driving on Route 68 at the intersection of the I 80 overpass and did not yield before making a left hand turn and collided into a car driven by 53 year old Brian Hudson of Pittsburgh.
Both drivers were not injured; however, their vehicles had to be towed from the scene and Smathers was cited for careless driving.

There was a single vehicle accident involving a deer.
On Tuesday around 11:30 pm, 30 year old June Burkey of DuBois was traveling east on Route 38 in Richland Township and hit a deer before coming to a controlled stop.
Burkey was wearing her seat belt and she was not injured, but she was cited for operating a vehicle without certificate of inspection.

The Pennsylvania State Police want the public to be aware they do not solicit for money over the phone, internet or mail.
There are strict rules that forbid the police department to solicit any donations and if you receive a request to give money be aware that is a scam. Authorities say not to give out any personal information or money to anyone you don’t know. If you feel you have been contacted by someone trying to scam you, call your local State Police Department.
