The Public Works Department will be collecting tree trimmings for Punxsutawney Borough residents only.
According to the Punxsutawney Borough Secretary’s office, between April 22 and the 26, only tree trimmings four inches or less in diameter will be collected. Larger tree sections or contractor cut trees must be disposed of by the homeowner or contractor.
Trimmings should be next to the curb by the road but not on the roadway. Do not park on or near the piles of trimmings, and please leave ample room to operate the wood chipper machine. If the piles are blocked, they cant be picked up and removal will become the responsibility of the resident.
