State police in Punxsutawney have apprehended a Cherry Tree man who was wanted for a stabbing in Clearfield County.
The stabbing happened in nearby Burnside Township between 9 PM and Midnight on Monday. Police say that they received a report of aggravated assault that happened at a home in Burnside. Troopers investigating the crime say that the stabbing was done by Lonnie Ranger Schmoke II of Cherry Tree stabbed a 63-year-old Cherry Tree man several times causing his ribs to break. Schmoke fled the scene before state police got there.
Police are now saying Schmoke was apprehended in Clearfield County on Thursday.
