The Punxsutawney Borough Council held their monthly meeting last evening. According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, the council approved to have several streets paved this summer.
In addition, the published report says the council also approved handicapped parking at the Greek Catholic Church on Sutton Street, and a part-time police offer was hired as well as two new firefighters for Elk Run Volunteer Company.
At the Punxsutawney Area School Board meeting Tuesday night, the motion was passed for new stops to be added, graduation date is set for Friday June 14 and the revisions to the 2018-2019 school calendar were approved with only one opposed.
