The State Police Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of a house fire that happened yesterday.
Authorities say it started around 3:30 in the morning along Route 949 in Union Township, Jefferson County. Five residents were inside at the time it started, with the ages of the victims ranging from 66 to a 1 year old girl. Two were taken to an area hospital and treated for smoke-related injury. One was flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital where they are still being treated.
They believe the fire started in the living room. The cause is under investigation and the house valued, at $200,000, was a complete loss.
