
While full, final reports are still to be released, the annual IUPatty’s weekend is in the books and will be remembered for its lack of major disturbances compared to previous years.
As of 7 AM yesterday, Indiana Borough Police had handled 131 calls during the first 48 hours of the unsanctioned event, but in the 24 hours between 7 o’clock Saturday morning and 7 AM Sunday, they had 89 reported incidents, down from 139 last year.
Eighteen people were cited for a variety of offenses. IUP Campus Police reported 54 citations for drug or alcohol offenses.
State Police reported 233 traffic citations in the first 48 hours, four more than last year, but made only 11 arrests, compared to 85 last year.
