State Police are saying that they are adopting a zero tolerance policy when it comes to their coverage of “IUPatty’s” this weekend.
Authorities are increasing their efforts during the unsanctioned celebrations that are expected to start tomorrow night. Efforts will include a DUI checkpoint, extra roving patrols and aggressive traffic enforcement activities focused on a zero-tolerance approach.
Last year during IUPatty’s, State Police made 145 arrests and investigated 367 traffic incidents.
Residents are urged to call 911 to report any suspicious or criminal activity.
