A driver who failed to turn off their high beams was arrested for DUI.
According to the State Police in Punxsutawney, the incident happened on Saturday night around 10 on Harmony Road near Picket Road in Young Township, when a 56 year old man from Punxsutawney continued to use his high beams while driving northbound. Troopers made contact with him and detected the strong odor of alcohol and other signs of impairment coming from the driver and issued a field sobriety test, leading to his arrest for suspicion of DUI.
The man was transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for a blood test as the investigation continues.
