
A woman from Summerville fell victim to a scam.
Authorities say 49 year old Michelle Walter thought she was obtaining a loan using a prepaid debit card, however it turned out to be a scam.
The State Police in Punxsutawney say the amount stolen was $225 and no other details were released.

The State Police in Clarion say the incident occurred on February 18 around 2 in the afternoon on Block Route 208 in Beaver Township, Clarion County, when a 49 year old woman from Knox was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Last evening around six o’clock there was a crash on interstate 80 East.
The State Police in DuBois say the accident occurred near the Brookville exit in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County, when a car driven by 41 year old Gerald Burmeister from Ohio was driving too fast for the conditions of the road, lost control of his vehicle, hit the guide rail, and spun around hitting the guide rail again before coming to a stop.
Burmeister was wearing his seat belt and not injured, but he was cited for driving too fast for the conditions of the road.

After an investigation, the Brookville Borough Police Department filed Charges of forgery against a 24 year old woman.
Authorities say the incident happened on January 27, when a 24 year old woman from Kittanning allegedly stole checks from an elderly person and then cashed them without authorization.
The charges were filed at the Magistrates Office. No other details were released.
