A Jefferson County man who is required to register as a sex offender is facing new charges.
Pennsylvania State Police say 34-year-old Allan Mahan of Punxsutawney failed to report on a registration form that he had been working part time at New Beginnings Church since February. Investigators say Mahan is a Tier One offender following a 2019 conviction for corruption of minors and is required to register for 15 years. He’s charged with felony failure to comply with registration requirements and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
