The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down near Diamond in northern Venango County during severe storms on July 21.
The tornado occurred between 6:37 and 6:38 p.m., producing estimated peak winds of 80 mph and traveling about 1 mile with a maximum width of 50 yards. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The storm caused tree damage along its path, including areas near Route 428 and Goodwin Road.
It was one of six tornadoes confirmed from the severe weather event.
