A tow hitch left in the westbound lane of Route 208 in Elk Township, Clarion County, damaged two vehicles July 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said a 2015 Jeep Compass driven by a 28-year-old Punxsutawney woman struck the metal hitch, and a 2021 Ford F-150 driven by a 70-year-old Knox woman hit the same debris moments later.
Both vehicles sustained disabling undercarriage damage and were towed from the scene, but neither driver was injured.
