Former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio is scheduled to appear in federal court on July 23 for a change-of-plea hearing, according to court records.
WTAJ News is reporting the hearing comes after his federal trial was postponed until October following the departure of the lead federal prosecutor. Suplizio and former city employee Roberta Shaffer were indicted on allegations they embezzled about $1.5 million from the City of DuBois.
Shaffer has already pleaded guilty to two counts and is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 22.
