The Brockway Community Pool will remain closed for the 2026 summer season as officials work to address major structural issues at the nearly 70-year-old facility.
Park officials said the pool, which opened in 1958, is no longer safe to operate because its liner has failed and the underlying metal structure has deteriorated. Repairs are expected to cost at least $500,000, with a final estimate pending an engineering evaluation. The Brockway Recreation Board is seeking grants and planning community fundraising efforts in hopes of reopening the pool next summer.
The park’s splash pad will remain open during the closure.
