A two-vehicle crash on Route 36 in Oliver Township, Jefferson County, sent two Brookville residents to the hospital on June 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers said a pickup truck driven by 47-year-old Melissa Riley rear-ended a commercial truck that had entered the roadway from the MacDonald & Owen Lumber Yard, causing the pickup to spin into an oncoming SUV. Jeffrey and Bonnie Parrett, both of Brookville, suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Riley was cited for following too closely.
