An 81-year-old New York man suffered minor injuries after allegedly falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing into a guardrail along Interstate 80 in Union Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers say Javed A. Butt, of Yonkers, was traveling eastbound near mile marker 103.4 on May 22 when his vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic and struck a guardrail.
Police said Butt, who was wearing a seat belt, refused medical transport after the crash and was cited for failing to drive within a single lane.
