An upcoming traffic shift on Interstate 80 westbound in Jefferson County will likely cause delays for regional drivers starting next week.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that a lane closure just east of Richardsville Road will begin June 1 at 7:00 a.m. for paving operations. Following the week-long paving work, traffic will be shifted onto temporary pavement for about 4,000 feet so crews can safely work in the highway median.
The construction is part of a multi-year project to replace the I-80 North Fork Bridges, which is scheduled for completion in summer 2028.
