A 25-year-old man died Monday afternoon after a vehicle fell on him while he was working underneath it in a garage along Gravel Road in Warsaw Township, according to the Jefferson County coroner.
According to WJAC news, Authorities said the man was reportedly repairing a transmission when the vehicle, which was raised on a jack, tipped and pinned him beneath it. The coroner ruled the death accidental, saying the victim died from suffocation caused by the weight of the vehicle. Family members became concerned when he failed to arrive at a family gathering and later found him inside the garage. Emergency crews from the Warsaw Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene.
The victim’s identity is expected to be released Tuesday.
