A 38-year-old Pittsburgh man is facing multiple charges after allegedly running into traffic in Punxsutawney and later kicking a nurse at a local hospital.
According to an ExploreJeffersonPa.Com article, Theodore Francis Bakayza III appeared disoriented and admitted to recent methamphetamine use when officers responded April 26 to reports of a man jumping in front of vehicles on Elk Run Avenue. Police said Bakayza became combative after being taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for evaluation and allegedly kicked a nurse in the chest while staff attempted to restrain him.
He is jailed in Jefferson County on $100,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 4.
