A 67-year-old New Bethlehem man was cited after state police said he crashed into a utility pole while reaching for a dropped pen in Jefferson County.
According to PSP Punxsutawney, Rodney L. Stockdale was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado west on Dora Timblin Road in Ringgold Township on May 4 when he dropped a pen and drove off the roadway, striking an electric pole before coming to rest in a nearby field. Police said Stockdale was not injured and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
