Two separate crashes along Interstate 80 in Clearfield County over the weekend left drivers trapped and required rescue by emergency crews, authorities said.
According to WTAJ News, firefighters first response early May 2 to a tractor-trailer that went off the roadway near mile marker 126.4, where the driver was freed using specialized equipment and taken for medical care. Hours later, crews were called to a rollover crash near mile marker 120.6, where another driver was extricated from a vehicle that had come to rest on its side.
Both drivers were rescued and transported to emergency services, and westbound lanes were temporarily closed during the second incident.
