In District 9 action on May 2, A-C Valley High School’s matchup at Cranberry High School was postponed, while the City Classic at Showers Field saw DuBois Area High School edge DuBois Central Catholic High School 7-6 in nine innings. Wellsville High School defeated Otto-Eldred High School 13-5, while crossover games between Mercer High School and Clarion High School, along with Reynolds High School at Cranberry, were canceled.
In softball, Wellsboro Area High School rolled past Coudersport Area High School 18-0 in four innings, and at Heindl Field, DuBois Central Catholic High School topped DuBois Area High School 11-8, while Marion Center’s game with St. Marys was canceled. In volleyball, Meadville Area High School competed at the State College Tournament.
