A DuBois woman is facing 42 felony charges after allegedly stealing more than $4,600 from a Sheetz store in Brookville by scanning funds to her personal cash app without paying, according to police.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, authorities allege 36-year-old Katie Lynn Neal carried out the transactions over 21 occasions between April 3 and April 11 while employed at the store, entering amounts ranging from $200 to $250 without depositing cash. Police said Neal later admitted to the actions in a statement to store security, but failed to appear for a follow-up interview.
She has been charged with multiple counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 1.
