David “Dave” Eshbaugh, 76, of Kingsville, passed into the arms of his heavenly father early Friday morning, April 24, 2026, after a period of declining health. He passed at home with his wife by his side.
Born November 15, 1949, at Brookville Hospital, he was the son of the late G. Melvin and E. Jane Moorhead Eshbaugh.
He was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and continued his education at Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center, where he earned a degree in Electronics Repair.
On July 24, 1971, at Limestone Baptist Church he married his high school sweetheart, the former, Betty L. Weaver. She survives.
Prior to his retirement in October of 2011 he had been employed by Penelec as an Electrician.
He was a member of Kingsville Global Methodist Church.
Dave led a full life; he enjoyed traveling (San Antonio, West Virginia and North Carolina were his favorite destinations), he also traveled to England and Scotland. He enjoyed hunting (especially from the family camp in Marienville) Moose Hunts in Newfoundland, Elk Hunts in Colorado, and prairie dog hunts in South Dakota; fishing at Pymatuning and Mahoning, competitive shooting, reloading shells, and making parts for family and friends on his lathe. He enjoyed baking, especially bread, and tried his hand at beekeeping. He was the GO TO person in his community. He LOVED to troubleshoot. If it didn’t work, he could usually figure it out.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his son, Ryan (Brittany) Eshbaugh; his daughter, Aimee Victoria; his grandchildren, Ainsley, Ingrid, Genevieve and Knoxx; his step grandchildren, Brynn and Amzee; as well as his sister, Kelley (Kevin) Young.
Those preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are an infant brother and his sister, Barbara.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. had the honor of serving his family and assisting with his final arrangements.
A “Celebration of Life” will be planned for a later date and held at Kingsville Global Methodist Church.
