After more than three decades of service, Clarion Borough Police Chief Bill Peck is retiring but will immediately return in a part-time role.
According to exploreclarion.com, Peck, who has served as chief for nine years, will reduce his schedule to about 30 hours per week while continuing to lead the department and serve as Clarion County’s chief detective.
The arrangement is expected to save the borough about $26,000 annually in salary and benefits while retaining Peck’s experience and leadership.
