Authorities say a hit-and-run incident involving a commercial vehicle caused a power outage in Jefferson County earlier this month.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the unidentified driver was traveling north on State Route 28 in Warsaw Township around 3:30 p.m. on April 4 when the vehicle struck a low-hanging utility line, pulling it down and partially dislodging a transformer from a nearby pole. The damage led to a temporary loss of electricity in the area.
Police said the driver did not stop and continued northbound. The investigation is ongoing.
