Authorities are investigating a house fire that broke out Wednesday morning in Highland Township, Clarion County, damaging a residence and killing a family dog, officials said.
ExploreClarion.Com is reporting, emergency crews were dispatched to a home on McCleary Road around 10:48 a.m., where firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames concentrated on the rear of the one-and-a-half story structure. The fire was brought under control within about 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported among residents or responders.
Multiple local fire departments and EMS units assisted at the scene, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to fire officials.
