An 18-year-old Venango County man is facing a misdemeanor charge and multiple traffic violations after authorities say he took a vehicle without permission and crashed it into a field.
State police allege Micah David Sarber, of Cooperstown, drove the car on Pinegrove School Road on Feb. 15 before losing control and traveling about 85 yards off the roadway. According to court documents, Sarber, who allegedly did not have a valid driver’s license and could not provide registration or insurance, told police he was driving too fast for conditions. The vehicle’s owner later reported it had been taken without consent.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 29 in Venango County Central Court.
