Gasoline prices continued their upward climb across the country this week, with the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded reaching $3.94, according to data from AAA.
In Pennsylvania, drivers are seeing a similar trend as the statewide average rose to $3.93 per gallon. Regional prices across west-central Pennsylvania show some variation but remain elevated; Jefferson County currently averages $3.63, while Clearfield County sits at $3.76. In Clarion County, motorists are paying an average of $3.79, and Indiana County reported a slightly lower average of $3.75 per gallon.
Analysts attribute the steady increase to rising crude oil costs and the onset of seasonal spring demand.
