Gas prices in Pennsylvania and across the country continue to climb sharply this week. According to data from AAA and GasBuddy, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas has reached $3.72. In Pennsylvania, the statewide average has followed a similar trajectory, currently sitting at $3.70 per gallon. This marks a nearly 44-cent jump from the state’s average of $3.26 recorded in mid-March 2025.
Local averages in the Western Pennsylvania region show some variation but remain elevated:
Clearfield County: $3.71
Jefferson County: $3.64
Clarion County: $3.67
Indiana County: $3.67
Industry analysts at GasBuddy noted that regional prices in the tri-county area have spiked by as much as 50 cents in some locations over the last ten days, mirroring the volatility seen in global crude oil markets.
