A 51-year-old Punxsutawney man is facing multiple charges after police say he intentionally set fire to a barn and fled the scene during a mental health crisis.
According to court documents, Scott J. Wundrack allegedly ignited the fire at a barn along South Main Street around 12:53 p.m. on March 6 before leaving in a vehicle, nearly striking a neighbor who tried to stop him. Authorities say Wundrack was later taken into custody in Indiana County after crashing his vehicle and allegedly admitted to starting the fire.
Wundrack is charged with felony arson, risking catastrophe, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
