The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that the closure of Jenks Street (Route 4003) in Jefferson County for the I-80 North Fork Bridge Project will be extended through the summer of 2027.
The closure began Sept. 23, 2024, and was previously scheduled to end in December 2025 before being extended to summer 2026. Officials said early and persistent winter weather delayed a planned eastbound traffic switch in November, affecting the project schedule and the reopening of Jenks Street.
Motorists are urged to follow posted detours and use caution in work zones.
