A 26-year-old Butler man has been charged with harassment after police said he sent lewd and anonymous text messages to a female business owner in Clarion Borough.
According to a criminal complaint, investigators traced the messages to Tyler Wayne Ogden through phone records obtained from AT&T. Police said the messages included sexually explicit language and continued after the victim asked him to stop. Ogden denied sending the texts and claimed his phone was hacked.
Ogden is charged with two misdemeanor counts of harassment and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 17 before Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill.
