A Venango County man who threatened motorists with a knife in downtown Franklin in 2024 and later claimed aliens had operated on him was sentenced to up to five years in prison.
An ExploreVanango.Com article says, 41 year-old, Kevin Scott Vanworme, of Emlenton, was sentenced Feb. 5 by Matthew T. Kirtland after pleading guilty to two counts of terroristic threats and one count of simple assault.
Police said Vanwormer tried to enter passing vehicles at knifepoint and made delusional statements about aliens before being taken into custody and evaluated by mental health officials at UPMC Northwest.
