A Punxsutawney man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he choked a woman until her body went limp during a day-long domestic dispute.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, Jason Lee North, 50, is charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, terroristic threats and simple assault in connection with the Jan. 5 incident at a High Street residence, according to court records. Police allege North assaulted the victim multiple times, attempted to throw her down stairs and took her phone to prevent her from calling authorities.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 6 before Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock.
