Four Clearfield Regional Police officers are being praised for rescuing a family and their pets from a two-alarm house fire early Friday in Clearfield Borough.
According to WJAC News, Fire officials said officers Sgt. Walker and Officers Kahley, Fye and Lash entered the burning home in the 500 block of East 7th Street around 12:40 a.m. to wake and evacuate three adults and several children, with at least one officer reentering the residence to save the family’s pets.
Firefighters contained the blaze within about 30 minutes, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
