Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion are investigating an online scam that cost a 76-year-old Knox woman about $100,000, along with two separate incidents involving suspected drugs and paraphernalia in Clarion County.
Troopers said the woman reported being deceived into sending money electronically between September and December in a case being investigated as theft by deception. In unrelated cases, police recovered suspected illegal drugs found at a Dairy Queen along Route 322 in Paint Township and drug paraphernalia discovered inside an apartment on Grand Avenue in Clarion Township.
All investigations remain ongoing, state police said.
