A 75-year-old Chicora man was flown to Allegheny General Hospital after his SUV left Route 68 on Monday morning and struck a utility pole and a tree, state police said.
Troopers said Frederick L. Rupp was southbound on Chicora Road around 10:36 a.m. when his Subaru Forester veered off the west side of the roadway, hitting a mailbox, a West Penn Power pole and then a tree.
Rupp was unconscious when first responders arrived and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital before being airlifted.
