A Punxsutawney woman has been charged with assault after authorities say she struck a man in the face and slammed his hand in a bathroom door during a domestic dispute.
Heather Ann Ellinger, 46, was charged Nov. 12 with simple assault stemming from a Nov. 9 incident at an apartment on North Jefferson Street.
Police said the victim had bruises, scratches and a bloody, swollen finger.
