A pickup truck overturned on Interstate 80 during heavy rain Friday night after the driver lost control while traveling too fast for conditions, state police said.
The crash happened around 9:05 p.m. near mile marker 68.4, when a westbound 2013 Ford F-150 driven by Sokol Tahiri, 54, of Stamford, Conn., began hydroplaning, left the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled before coming to rest upside down on the south shoulder. Tahiri and passengers Albert Lamnica, 49, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Nikolin Z. Vatgjonaj, 53, of the Bronx, were all wearing seat belts and were uninjured, according to troopers.
The truck sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
