
No injuries occurred but charges are pending in a one-vehicle crash that occurred last evening.
According to the State Police in Punxsutawney, 40 year old Dean Greenwalt from Mayport was driving East on Route 28 in Clover Township of Jefferson County when he was going around a curve and lost control of his vehicle, slid into the other lane and hit an embankment.
Greenwalt was wearing his seat belt.

A minor injury occurred in a crash that happened this past Friday. State Police in DuBois say the incident occurred just afternoon on Friday when a truck driven by 24 year old Aneeb Ahmed from Snokie, IL was driving on I-80 west around mile marker 103 and he hit a tractor trailer that was already in the lane he was trying to enter.
According to troopers, Ahmed’s truck ended up on the shoulder of the guide rail and he was taken to Penn Highlands for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and Ahmed was cited for following too closely.

Punxsutawney State Police say a person driving on Ellermeyer Road from Walston Road in Young Township of Jefferson County hit low hanging wires on a utility pole yesterday afternoon around three. Names were not released, no one was injured and no charges were filed.

State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a theft where a counterfeit $100 was used to purchase goods on January 15 on Evens Street in Pine Township of Jefferson County.
The investigation is ongoing.
