A Brockport man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill Pennsylvania State Police troopers who responded to his home earlier this month.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, 53-year-old Jeffrey Rhed reportedly told troopers he was “going to get a rifle to pick off” officers during a mental health incident on Shawmut Road in Horton Township on October 3. Nearby residents were evacuated, and local schools were alerted as a precaution. Rhed was arraigned on October 12 and remains in the Elk County Prison on $30,000 bail, facing two counts of terroristic threats.
A preliminary hearing is set for October 22.
