A Jefferson County man is facing felony charges after state police say he broke into the Reynoldsville Gospel Center and caused more than $500 in damage.
Troopers reported 41-year-old Christopher Earl Dunn Jr., of Falls Creek, broke a window, moved furniture, and started a fire outside the church on September 15. The pastor, who had never met Dunn, said Dunn called him earlier claiming he was “cleaning out” the building. When confronted, Dunn allegedly told police he had been “sent by God.”
He was arraigned before Judge David B. Inzana, unable to post $30,000 bail, and remains in the Jefferson County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for September 23.
